Tasting the island life! - Sprachreise 3BS

Part of the 3BS went on a language trip to Malta, a small European island whose second official language is English. The trip from the 18th to the 25th of September was accompanied by Prof. Wostal-Binder and Prof. Handelberger.

After a smooth journey via Munich, our island life began with getting to know the host families as well as exploring the surroundings of our temporary homes and the language school. The initial culture shock was quickly overcome, and the week was spent with many half-day excursions in addition to attending language school in the mornings. Not even the onset of rain on two days could spoil the fun, as bowling and visiting the cinema proved themselves to be fantastic indoor alternatives for our group.

Starting from the school location in St. Julians, we spent the rest of the sunny and warm week visiting the capital of the island Valletta, the church in Mosta, Sliema and the island of Gozo to only name a few stops of our tours.

Shopping was not neglected either, as a language plus, everyone communicated in English without any problems - in the supermarket and also when shopping for souvenirs.

Nevertheless, it was not only the learning and exploring that made this trip unique. Above all, by mastering challenging situations, the group grew closer together and managed to make the very best of everything, which made our language trip to Malta unforgettable for everyone involved.
